Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a grass root level institution established in 1992 for Beed district of Maharashtra, sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi and managed by Deendayal Research Institute, New Delhi.

The Institute was founded in 1968 by Late Shri Nanaji Deshmukh, a renowned social worker dedicated to socio-economic upliftment of the underprivileged through self-employment, health, education and value-based development.

The Institute has undertaken several innovative projects that have become torch bearers in different aspects of human life.
